Brigalow Pipe Storage & Laydown Facility

Overview

Engaged by McConnell Dowell to deliver a specialist civil package at their Brigalow laydown facility, WDC mobilised a four-person crew to complete 20 days of varied civil works — site preparation, heavy lift coordination, and construction of six trapezoidal pipe storage berms in finely screened clay. As the scope evolved through the project, the team adapted without missing a beat — keeping the program dates and ensuring pipe deliveries weren't delayed remained the priority throughout. Grader operator Dave Coleman's experience was central to dialling in the berm construction process — once established, it ran efficiently and to an excellent standard. Works were completed incident free, on time, and under budget — a result the crew is proud of on a scope approached with the same standard they bring to every job.
